Ann is a dedicated and accomplished Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with additional certification as a myofascial instructor and practitioner. With her extensive hands-on experience, she has developed a deep understanding of the human body and how to help improve unique patient issues through various massage techniques.

One of Ann’s specialties is myofascial release, which she incorporates into her practice to help realign her clients’ posture. Myofascial release is a technique that focuses on releasing tension and movement restrictions in the fascia – the connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, and organs. By addressing fascial imbalances, Ann can help her patients improve their posture and alleviate pain, allowing them to engage in activities they enjoy.

As well as her massage practice, Ann is the owner and operator of A Natural Alternative. Founded in 1995, Ann’s ability to creatively solve problems and commitment to providing quality care have been constant elements in both her professional and personal lives.

Outside of work Ann leads an active lifestyle. She is a mother of three very tall young men, and together with her husband, they all enjoy camping, cycling, and hiking. Overall well-being is important and helps her understand the benefits and challenges of the active lifestyle that she encourages for her clients

Rebecca’s approach to treatment is centered around exceptional client care and a belief in the healing power of touch. While relying on her clinical training to assess clients and plan their treatments, she also listens to their bodies and works intuitively during sessions.

Her treatments blend Swedish massage with hydrotherapy, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, and trigger point therapy. Rebecca also enjoys incorporating essential oils into her treatments for the various ways in which they can help to relax the nervous system, improve circulation, ease headaches and decrease tension. In the future, she would love to expand her skills by learning Table Thai Massage and continuing her education in Joint Mobilizations.

When she’s not massaging, Rebecca loves thrift store shopping, crafting, singing, and spending quality time with her husband and young son. Caring for her toddler gives her an appreciation for the importance of great mobility and regular self-care.
